New Yorker Sandwich

September 23, 2010 § Leave a comment

A New Yorker sandwich is pastrami, cole slaw, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing on rye bread. I think this is what angels eat, it’s so good. Angels from New York, anyway. It begs the question of whether they have this sandwich under this name in New York. It’s the same as the age-old Belgian waffle issue and whether or not Thousand Island dressing is really from that area and why it’s called that, since there aren’t really 1000 islands. What gives them the right?
