Irish Pub Breakfast

December 30, 2010 § 1 Comment

Rashers, sausage. Eggs and potatoes. No black and white pudding. But just as we always suspected, and I confirmed this with the waitress, black and white pudding is a blood sausage. Yuck. Rashers are simply thick-cut bacon with a fancy name. But the cardinal rule with bacon is thicker=better, so I will go with it. The sausage was your typical link variety. Nothing special there, except that it was tastily washed down with a pint of Guinness.

§ One Response to Irish Pub Breakfast

This reminds me of the breakfast I got at the Beach Shop Bar and Grill in Topsail Beach last year, only prettier. It was two eggs, home fries, sausage, wheat toast, and a short stack of pancakes, which were the size of the plate upon which they were served.
