Nathan’s Hot Dogs

I recently had to prepare lunch for one of the Masonic Lodges I attend and decided that we were going to have hot dogs and chili. I actually billed them as chili dogs, but it turned out the chili was better suited for a bowl instead of a bun. All the same, it was chili you could put on a dog.

Nathan’s hot dogs are pretty darned good. They are skinless beef franks that leave a good sheen of grease on top of the water they get boiled in. It’s a little nasty to think about, but boy are these good dogs! The only downside is that I expected somewhere around 30-40 people, which is around the usual attendance, but only 16 people showed up, so I am stuck with a whole mess of extra dogs. Expect recipes in the future and feel free to submit your own.
